This past summer, Shapell’s/Darche Noam – a leading institution in the education of young Jews of varied backgrounds – recreated its Summer “Zman”, and introduced a five-week intensive theme-based learning experience and workshop.
Students joined us from June 21st through July 23rd as we studied Tefillah – the Jewish Art of Prayer.
We adapted our normal curriculum of Gemara, Halacha, Chumash, and Jewish Thought, contouring all of it to gain a deeper appreciation of the laws, history, dynamics, and passion of this central mitzvah.
In addition, our expert faculty dedicated an hour a day to practical Tefillah seminars – providing beginning and advanced students with opportunities to deepen their prayers or sharpen their davening and chazzan skills.
