"Rabbi Karlinsky’s Zoom Gemara Chabura for working alumni is a unique and powerful opportunity to grow. It combines three great qualities: 1) A return to the Shapells basics - focus on mechanics of how to break down a sugya - the same gift that our Roshei Yeshiva gave us in preparation for growth after Shapells. 2) the opportunity to take things further - Rabbi Karlinsky guides is through the core Rishonom on the sugya, and often strings together multiple Gemaros so that we derive a holistic view. We then go into the Tur / Beis Yosef and see how the sugyos and Rishonim are derived into halacha. We sometimes end with a taste of Shulchan Aruch. 3) We choose topics that are relevant to professionals. Most of our work is in Choshen Mishpat, where we often cannot just buy the ArtScroll book or ask the local orthodox Rabbi."
