Rabbi Alan Kimche, founding rabbi of the Ner Yisrael community in Hendon, London, and former Shapell’s staff member, shared his memories of the late Chief Rabbi of the United Kingdom, Rabbi Jonathan Sacks, of blessed memory. He described how Rabbi Sacks’s unique combination of brilliance, passion, and neshama enabled him to take on a unique role in the Jewish world and in the world at large.
